Create + Connect with Clay and each other

This is a playful, open-ended clay workshop—an invitation to explore, experiment, and create freely.

We’ll begin with a fun, hands-on activity to introduce a few helpful clay techniques and tools. From there, you’ll have time to simply play—shaping, building, and creating whatever you feel inspired to make. Add playful details, bring your piece to life with color and texture.

After the workshop, your creation will be glazed and kiln-fired in the studio. You’ll be notified when it’s ready for pickup (about 2–5 weeks later).

This workshop is perfect for all skill levels.

There’s no pressure, no expectations—just space to enjoy the process and see where your creativity takes you.

Emily will be there to guide and support you as needed, while giving you the freedom to explore your own ideas.

What to Expect

• A relaxed, welcoming studio environment
• A fun intro to clay tools and hand-building techniques
• 2 hours of open creative play with clay
• Freedom to create whatever you’d like
• Time to add texture, details, and underglaze color
• All materials provided—just bring yourself

Please note: This workshop is for everyone, and is perfect for the whole family. If you attend please plan to participate and purchase a ticket. 

Accessibility Note: This Is Happiness Studio is located in a historic Lancaster city home and is unfortunately not handicap accessible at this time. There is a small set of entry stairs, and the restroom is located on the second floor.

Cancelation Policy

Due to the extensive preparation involved in our workshops, we are unable offer refunds or credits for cancellations or no-shows. However, if circumstances prevent you from attending, you may transfer your spot to someone else. Please inform us if you plan to do this.
